- In 2011 there were 2,513,171 total deaths in the United States.
- Roughly 24% of deaths happened to people between the ages of 30 and 64. That’s almost 1 in 4 deaths.
- Of the total deaths in 2011, almost 29% were men between the ages of 30 and 64.
- Of the total deaths in 2011, roughly 18% were women between the ages of 30 and 64.
The leading causes of death in the US for this age group (in no particular order) were:
- Heart Disease
- Cancer
- Chronic Lower Respiratory Disease
- Unintentional Accidents
- Suicide
- Chronic Live Disease and Cirrhosis
